Free Trust Me You Can Dance - Vodka Sign

UPDATE: Head to the end of this Free Trust Me You Can Dance - Vodka Sign post to get the printable and a code to get a free 8x10 at Walgreens, valid until February 4, 2020.

I dance. A lot. All the time. By myself, around Pete, at our wedding.

I wouldn't ever say I can dance. I remember being at a sweet sixteen in high school and having a few of my friends try really hard to teach me how to swing my hips to the beat. But my beat and the song's beat aren't always the same.

And that's me sober.

I laugh at myself though and have  a good time because life is too fun to take seriously all the time. Especially at weddings. If your guests have trouble loosening up, you're not alone. A lot of guests start stiff. Open bars help ... and that's probably where the "You can dance - Vodka" quote came from.

How fun is this Trust Me You Can Dance - Vodka sign for your wedding? You can get it for FREE from www.abrideonabudget.com.

If you've been on Pinterest, you've definitely seen that quote. It can be expensive to order it, though, s so I actually made a free printable sign for you with that exact quote. You can print it, put it in an 8x10 picture frame, and stand it at the bar at your wedding. It'll make your guests laugh, order vodka, and dance.

It's formatted to be 8x10 so you're gonna want to print it somewhere like Walgreens. Actually, right now, you can get a free 8x10 at Walgreens with the code FREEBIE8X10.

How fun is this Trust Me You Can Dance - Vodka sign for your wedding? You can get it for FREE from www.abrideonabudget.com.

If you want to use this for your wedding, you can crop it after you upload it and cut off my watermark. That's fine with me. You just can't reproduce my design without the watermark for anything but your wedding.

Our watermark doesn't appear on the items we have in our shop on CafePress. You can get the item on shot glasses, flasks, mugs and more. Sounds like the perfect gift for your vodka loving friends. Plus, you can save 15% right now with the code EXTRA15.

DIY Lovebirds Wedding Countdown Sign

UPDATE: You can get a free 8x10 photo at CVS with the code TREAT today, October 30. Use that code to print this DIY Lovebirds Wedding Countdown Sign for free.

I love wedding countdowns. It's just such a fun way to get excited over your upcoming wedding. Okay, sure, maybe that wedding countdown sign also gets your a little nervous. I mean, watching that number go down while your amount of wedding tasks goes up, it can be a bit scary. But you're counting down to the day you get to marry the love of your life. That's the best.

You can purchase a wedding countdown sign, but I would advise against it. Why? Because I made a super adorable one that you can print and put together yourself. That's way more fun!

Want a wedding countdown sign? You can get this one FREE from www.abrideonabudget.com! Hang it on your desk, mantle, wall (or wherever you want) and count down to your big day!

Lovebirds Wedding Countdown Sign

You can display this fun sign anywhere. Put it on your dresser, hang it on a wall, put it on your desk at work. Just make sure you change it every day or you'll lose count -- and have to recount all over. That's easy if you have 30 days left, not so easy if you have 342 left!

Want a wedding countdown sign? You can get this one FREE from www.abrideonabudget.com! Hang it on your desk, mantle, wall (or wherever you want) and count down to your big day!

What You'll Need:
What You'll Do:

Print the photo (at the end of this post).

You can print it anywhere that prints 8x10 photos. Right now, I would suggest printing it at Walgreens. Today (May 13), you can get a free 8x10 photo print with the code MOMSFREE here.

Put it in the frame.

Want a wedding countdown sign? You can get this one FREE from www.abrideonabudget.com! Hang it on your desk, mantle, wall (or wherever you want) and count down to your big day!

On the glass of the frame, use your dry-erase market to write the number of days left until your wedding in the white icon.

Every day, change the number in the icon. Picking a dry-erase marker with an eraser will make this just a little bit easier. If not, you'll end up saving a dirty paper towel and that's sort of gross.

Count down until you are happily married. Then, you can pass the sign to your next engaged friend.

Want a wedding countdown sign? You can get this one FREE from www.abrideonabudget.com! Hang it on your desk, mantle, wall (or wherever you want) and count down to your big day!

Now, about that free printable wedding countdown sign.

All you need to do is right-click the image below and save it to your computer. When you are ready for it, just upload it to a site where you can print (like Shutterfly, Walgreens, etc.). Print it as an 8x10 (that's what it is formatted as) and you can fit it in a frame.

Want a wedding countdown sign? You can get this one FREE from www.abrideonabudget.com! Hang it on your desk, mantle, wall (or wherever you want) and count down to your big day!

You can print this personalized wedding countdown sign at home too, if you want, but because the background is black and meant to look like a chalkboard, I wouldn't recommend that. It would be pretty ink heavy. Plus, I don't think the paper would look as nice in a frame as it does on photo paper.

For all of our free printables, be sure to check out this link.

Bride's Wedding Day Packing List

The day after our wedding, I woke up in the hotel room and was getting changed. My family was picking me up in a little bit to go to church.

"Ugh," I thought. "I forgot to pack a bra."

I ended up throwing a zip up on top of my shirt, then had my long hair fall in front of me. Long sleeves on a June day in North Carolina was a little hot, but it was better than showing the Lord the goods. So now, any time I'm talking to a bride on her wedding morning, I always remind her to pack a bra. That's not the only thing I forgot to bring with me, though. I was sitting in the limo, heading from taking photos downtown to the hotel where the reception was. I had my personalized sneakers with me ... but not socks. Ugh again, right? So I sent a text to a local friend, asking her to bring me a pair.

I don't want other brides to find themselves in these situations, so I put together a list of a few things a bride needs to pack on her wedding day.

Bride's Wedding Day Packing List

At the end of the post, there is a printable Bride's Wedding Day Packing List.

You can actually right click the image below and print out the wedding day checklist printable. Then, physically check off each item when you're packing. That way, you will make sure to not forget anything!

Don't forget anything on your wedding day when you print this Bride's Wedding Day Packing List from www.abrideonabudget.com. It's the perfect last-minute wedding day checklist.

Emergency Kit
You can make your own emergency kit -- filled with aspirin, deodorant, nail files, and more. Or you can buy one. Whatever way you go, though, bring it. There are so many items in there that you (honestly) won't need on your wedding day. But, for the one item you do need, you'll be happy you packed it. And since you won't exactly know what item is the one you'll be hunting for on wedding day, you need to put together and bring a whole kit.

Flip Flops/Sneakers
Are you going to wear your high heels all night long? Probably not. You'll want some comfortable shoes to change into. I actually packed both flip flops and sneakers. I had the flip flops for the beach (since we had a beach reception) and personalized sneakers to match Pete's when we were dancing the night away.

Don't forget anything on your wedding day when you print this Bride's Wedding Day Packing List from www.abrideonabudget.com. It's the perfect last-minute wedding day checklist.

Rings
Don't forget the rings. You can't get married without them. You'll have them with you during the morning, since a photographer will be with you and taking shots of all three rings, and then you'll want to pass them to a bridesmaid to take care of. Make sure she brings them into the ceremony space and hands them to whoever needs them.

Lipstick
It was an accident, I'm sure, but the makeup artists who were at my house gave a small swatch of lipstick to everyone -- except for me. So I didn't have any extra to match my lips. That's life. I wasn't too worried about it, but my bridesmaids were sure concerned. If it happens to you, be sure to pack a similarly colored lipstick -- or just a shade you like.

Don't forget anything on your wedding day when you print this Bride's Wedding Day Packing List from www.abrideonabudget.com. It's the perfect last-minute wedding day checklist.

Tip Envelopes
You'll need to tip your vendors, if they do a good job. So you'll want to carry envelopes with cash inside and the name of the vendor outside. Bring them to the venue and then hand them to your dad to hang on to until the end of the night. For a whole list of who gets tipped, check out our post here.

Snacks
You won't eat. For days, you won't eat. Heck, you might not even eat this snack. But it's good to toss in some grapes or granola bars. Anything easy to eat -- and things that are not messy. You don't want to spill on your white dress.

Don't forget anything on your wedding day when you print this Bride's Wedding Day Packing List from www.abrideonabudget.com. It's the perfect last-minute wedding day checklist.

Water Bottle
I would suggest a water bottle with a straw so you don't ruin your lipstick or accidentally spill on yourself. Maybe a cute one water bottle with pink sparkles because why not. Or how about our personalized bridal party water bottles? Fill it with cold water and sip on it when you can. It's so important to stay hydrated, so this will help.

Schedule
We put together a schedule of events with times (first dance, toasts, cake cutting, etc.) with our band. If you've done something similar, take it with you the day of the wedding. That way you -- or your maid of honor -- can keep track and cross reference it during the day.

Change of clothes/Luggage
If you're staying overnight at your reception venue or a close hotel, be sure to pack a change of clothes for the next day. From my experience, I want to remind you to pack and bra and socks. Whatever else you pack is up to you.

Bag Of Toiletries
If you're staying overnight, you'll need to get ready for bed, then ready for the next day. So you'll need to pack a travel bag with toothpaste, a toothbrush, makeup remover, shampoo, etc. Be sure to pack enough to share with your new husband too, in case he forgets his bag!

Now, about that printable ...

Don't forget anything on your wedding day when you print this Bride's Wedding Day Packing List from www.abrideonabudget.com. It's the perfect last-minute wedding day checklist.

Just right click the image above to save it. Then, print it out when you're ready to pack.

When you use the printable, just put a check in each box after you have packed it. This wedding day checklist for bride will make sure you don't leave anything at home.

Bridal Shower What's In Your Purse Game (plus a free printable)

I love bridal shower games. They're my favorite part of the shower, especially if you don't know anyone besides the bride-to-be. Bridal shower games really help you mingle and talk to strangers because it gives you something to make conversation about after you've already asked about the weather and how they know the bride. Speaking of games, have you played the bridal shower purse game?

Planning a bridal shower? You NEED to print this FREE bridal shower what's in your purse game from www.abrideonabudget.com. #bridalshower #bridalshowergames #whatsinyourpursegame

Bridal Shower What's In Your Purse Game

It's actually really fun. Everyone gets a printout with a list of items that may be in your purse. For each one you have, you get a certain number of points. More common items have lower point values; less common ones are worth more. The guest with the most points wins.

If you want to play it at your shower (or one you're hosting), but you just don't have the time to make a bridal shower purse game printable, you're in luck. I made one that you can print yourself.

When you get to the bridal shower, leave one copy on each person's plate. Then, put a few pens in the center of the table so that the guests can play.

Planning a bridal shower? You NEED to print this FREE bridal shower what's in your purse game from www.abrideonabudget.com. #bridalshower #bridalshowergames #whatsinyourpursegame

If you do play, be sure to have a few little gifts on hand to give the winners. And there's a chance that people could tie, so you want to have enough gifts in case that happens. You don't have to give out anything crazy. Maybe a small lotion, a candle, or bath bombs. You could even make our sugar scrub if you wanted to DIY your prizes.

Now, about that printable ...

Planning a bridal shower? You NEED to print this FREE bridal shower purse game from www.abrideonabudget.com.

All you have to do is right click and save the image above to your computer. It's formatted to fit on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, so you're able to print this at home. If it comes out blurry, I can email you the what's in your purse game PDF. Just let me know.

Bridal Shower Word Search Game (Free printable)

If you know me, you know I love bridal shower games. That's why I love bridal showers so much. I just want to go and play the games. So of course, I had to create a game: Bridal Shower Word Search.

Most people think of Bridal Bingo when they think of bridal shower games, mostly because it's the most popular. But it's not the only bridal shower game you can play.

I created a cute Bridal Shower Word Search. It's filled with everything that the bride needs for her big day, which is why it's a bridal shower word search rather than a wedding word search. All you need to do is print it for your guests. The game itself is made for you.

Bridal Shower Word Search

Looking for a fun bridal shower game? Get this Bridal Shower Word Search free printable at www.abrideonabudget.com.

You'll want to print out one copy of the word search per guest. Then, leave it a copy on top of every plate with a pen. Your guests will be able to play while they're waiting for lunch to be served.

If you'd rather play at a specific time during the shower, just keep a stack of copies with you. Then, pass this out to the guests. To make it more fun for them, you can say whoever finds all the words first wins a prize. You can give out one or multiple prizes, whatever works for you. And these never have to be big prizes. Go with cute hand lotions, bath bombs, or homemade sugar scrub.

You'll have to get the prizes on your own, but I made the game itself for you. It's formatted to fit on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper (which is normal-sized printer paper). Just right click the image below and save it to your computer. Print out as many as you need and bring them with you to the bridal shower.

And if you need the answer key, I actually did the word search to make a key.

Looking for a fun bridal shower game? Get this Bridal Shower Word Search free printable at www.abrideonabudget.com.

If you're a little more tech savvy, you can actually tile these to fit two on a page so you don't have to print as many. I wouldn't print more than two on a page, though, because it might start getting too small for your guests.

Be sure to let me know what everyone thinks!

DIY Thanks A Latte Coffee Wedding Favor (And a free printable)

For a long time, I didn't drink coffee. It wasn't until two years ago that I finally acquired a taste for it -- well, for the last sip of it, at least. I give up chocolate for Lent every year and a few years ago, I was really hurting without hot chocolate every morning. So I decided to try coffee. I added enough milk and sugar that the last sip tasted like hot chocolate, and that worked for me. When Lent was over, I kept drinking coffee, much to Pete's delight. That meant we could have coffee parties and coffee dates.

If you like coffee, you might want to incorporate it into your wedding. And what better way to do it than with your favors. I put together a really tasty -- and fun -- "Thanks A Latte" wedding favor.

DIY Thanks A Latte Coffee Wedding Favor

What You'll Need:

What You'll Do:

Thanks-A-Latte-Coffee-Wedding-Favor

Fill the organza bags with coffee beans.

Thanks-A-Latte-Coffee-Wedding-Favor

Cut the circles from the printable. I used scissors, but a 1-inch circle punch would have been much easier since I designed these to be 1-inch in diameter. I don't have a circle punch that large, though, so I cut them by hand. No worries because I was only making a couple of them, but if you're making 100 or so for your wedding, a punch is definitely worth buying.

Place the circle in the bag and close it.

I originally thought about taping each Thanks A Latte printable to the outside of the bag but they were popping up and not laying flat. Doing that meant risking them falling off before making it to your guests so I wouldn't suggest that.

Simple. And saving the printable is simple too. I already designed it so all you need to do is right click the image below and save it to your computer. Then, print it on a sheet of printer paper. It's already formatted to fit an 8.5x11 sheet of paper perfectly, so you don't have to worry about resizing anything.

What To Pack For An Overnight Wedding

More often than not, I've driven home after weddings. I don't drink, so it's no big deal for me to drive home at the end of the night. But there are the occasions where the wedding is far away and we have to stay overnight. That means packing a bag. If you're like me, you probably overpack and then end up not needing half the stuff in your suitcase. So I'm here to help. I put together a list of what to pack for an overnight wedding.

Even better, I actually made a free printable for you too. All you need to do is print it out, check off the items as you put them in your suitcase, and you'll have everything you need -- plus room for the welcome bags the couple is probably giving out.

Before you head out of town for an overnight wedding, make sure you pack everything on this list from www.abrideonabudget.com. Plus, there's a free printable to make sure you have it all.

What To Pack For An Overnight Wedding

Dress/Suit.
If you can leave early in the day and check into your hotel before the wedding, it means you'll probably also have time to get ready at the hotel. So you'll need to pack whatever you'll be wearing for the ceremony and reception.

Shoes/Socks.
If you're driving up, you probably won't be driving up in heels. So you have to remember to pack your shoes. And if you're a man, you'll need to pack your dress shoes and a pair of socks. Even if you don't need a pair for that day, you'll need them for the next day.

Flats/Sneakers.
I have a few pairs of really comfortable heels that I will wear all wedding long. And then I have some other shoes that are so cute, but halfway through the reception, I'm done with them. For weddings where I decide to wear those, I need to make sure to pack flats or flip flops. If you pack something like that, you can drive home in them the next day. If you don't, remember to pack flats or sneakers to drive home in.

Slippers.
I always want slippers when I'm in a hotel. You don't want to put your shoes on the bed, but you also don't want to walk barefoot around the room itself. So slippers are a must. Plus, they're just so cozy and who doesn't want to be cozy as often as possible?

Pajamas.
If you're going to sleep over, you're gonna need something to sleep in. So pack pajamas. In my worst cases of overpacking, I always pack a pair of long pajama pants, shorts, a tank top, and a sweatshirt. All for bed. Don't be like me. Instead, keep in mind that a hotel room has a thermostat so you can bring one pair of season-appropriate pajamas and be okay.

Underwear.
This is a given, although I feel like underwear are the most forgotten thing when you're packing for a quick overnight trip.

Bra.
Chances are, you're wearing a bra with your dress for the wedding. But, true story: on my wedding day, I didn't wear a bra. The dress fit just right. So the next day, when I showered and was getting picked up for church, I realized I didn't have a bra to wear. So now I make sure to always pack one, based on whatever type of dress I'm wearing.

Top and bottom (for the next day).
What are you wearing the next day? Whatever it is, you're gonna need to pack it. If not, you'll be wearing the outfit from the day before again.

Toiletry bag.
I have a travel bag where I keep a travel-sized version of everything I need for an overnight trip. Then, when it's time to go, I just put that bag in my suitcase or overnight bag. Quick rundown of everything you might want to keep in your toiletry bag at all times: makeup, makeup remover, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, brush, hair ties, bobby pins, hair spray, nail polish, and cotton swabs.

Card/gift.
Don't forget your card or your gift. You'll want to make sure you definitely have that with you.

Purse.
Your daily purse is probably not the one you're going to bring to the wedding reception. You probably have something cute and sparkly with a silver chain that only comes out on special occasions. Be sure to throw that in your suitcase or overnight bag or you'll have to wait for another special occasion before you can use it again.

Credit card (you used to book).
When you're checking in to your hotel, you may be asked for your name and the credit card you used to book the hotel. It may be different than the one you want to pay with, but they often want the credit card you booked with. So be sure to have that handy just in case or you may be in for a delay when you arrive.

Before you head out of town for an overnight wedding, make sure you pack everything on this list from www.abrideonabudget.com. Plus, there's a free printable to make sure you have it all.

The overnight wedding packing list above is formatted to fit on an 8.5x11 piece of paper (so a typical sheet of printable paper). Right click it to save it to your computer. When you need it, just print it. You can reuse it for every overnight wedding if you stick it in a paper sheet and use a dry erase marker to check off the boxes.

What else would you pack for an overnight wedding?

Entertaining Your Guests With An I Spy Game (and free printable)

I've been to a lot of weddings where they had disposable cameras on the tables. And, usually, they just sit there. I mean, everyone has their own cameras, iPhones, photographic memories. No one wants to pick up your antiquated disposable camera and take photos for you.

You hired a photographer. Leave it up to them.

Except, well, I wanted people to pick up those disposable cameras and take photos for me. I thought it would be amazing -- and sure, a throwback to 1994, but that was a great year. I was thrilled that the Rangers won the Stanley Cup and the World Cup was going on that summer. Both things that I distinctly remembering happening in 1994 but did not watch one single minute of.

Strange the things we remember.

For the things we don't remember, we capture them on film. See, you need people to take photos at my wedding, so invite James Bond*. Or, well, your guests in the form of James Bond.

Create an "I Spy" card.

Need a way to entertain your wedding guests? Give them a disposable camera and this "I Spy" game. You can print it for FREE at www.abrideonabudget.com.

You display a card at each table or at the welcome table, along with disposable cameras, and ask your guests to capture the moments listed on the card, like the groom playing with his ring; the bride and her mom dancing; the cutest couple other than the bride and groom; the worst dancer in action.

Super cute ideas.

We didn't hire a photographer for our rehearsal dinner or engagement party. Most people don't. You have to cut corners somewhere. Plus, you're going to be mingling, so you're not going to be able to take photos all night. Getting disposable cameras for each table and printing an "I Spy" card is pretty much the only way you can assure you get photos.

Now about that free printable:

Need a way to entertain your wedding guests? Give them a disposable camera and this "I Spy" game. You can print it for FREE at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Just right click the image above, save it to your computer, and print it on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper (a standard printer page). Display it in an 8.5x11 frame and you're done.

We have a few other wedding printables available for free, too. They're all listed below:

BRIDAL BABBLE: What would you add to your "I Spy" card?

*Oh, are you coming from up top looking for why there was a star next to James Bond's name? Well, it's because apparently, he's not a spy. He's a secret agent. I thought he was a spy, but someone corrected me. I have seen exactly zero minutes of any James Bond movie, which is exactly the same amount of viewing I spent on sports in 1994. Full circle.

DIY "Let Love Bloom" Seed Bomb Wedding Favors

I'm a big fan of word play and puns. I really believe that any time you can work it into your wedding, you should. Now, I'm not saying you need to overdo it, but once a wedding is great. If you haven't used any puns yet, I have a great one for you: Let Love Bloom ... attached to DIY seed bomb wedding favors.

How great of a wedding favor is that? Your guests' flowers will grow simultaneously with your love. I love it!

And you'll love how easy these are to make. You really just put in a few minutes of work, wait 24 hours, and you're ready to package them.

You can make them ahead of time instead of something like edible wedding favors, which you need to make during wedding week.

DIY Let Love Bloom Seed Bomb Wedding Favors Supplies:

How To Make DIY Let Love Bloom Seed Bomb Wedding Favors:

Tear the newspaper into strips. You can use scissors to do this too, but tearing might be a therapeutic way to get rid of some wedding planning stress.

Soak the newspaper strips in a bowl of water for about 15 minutes.

Pulverize it in a food processor until it becomes mush.

Put the mush in a strainer and squeeze out as much water as possible.

Fill a mold halfway with the mush. You really want to pack it down well. The mold that made these is the Good Cook Sweet Creations Spring Mold.

It's silicone and usually used for chocolate bark. Actually, I used it to make coffee creamer molds before I gave it to my friend Danielle, who used it to make these seed bombs.

What's cute about that specific mold is it has a pattern that really indents itself into your seed bombs. If you'd rather, you can fill something like a heart-shaped silicone mold or, dare I say, a flower-shaped silicone mold?

Generously sprinkle wildflower seeds on top of the mush.

Finish filling the mold with the mush. Again, pack it in there. Set it out, in the molds, for 24 hours to dry.

After they've dried, pop your seed bombs out of the mold.

Place the seed bombs into an organza bag.

The number of seed bombs you place inside will be based on the actual size of your bombs. Place a "Let Love Bloom" tag in the bag, pull the ribbon to close it, and you're done.

Now, speaking of those tags: I made them so you don't have to. I'm all about making your life easier. All you have to do is right click the image below to save it to your desktop and then print it when you're ready.

It's formatted to fit an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, which is standard printer paper.

Now, if you've been around here for a while, you know that I pretty much cut everything with a paper trimmer. I bought it to do our wedding invitations and it has been the greatest investment I've ever made.

This is one of the very few projects I've made where I used the scissors, though. It's a little hard to maneuver around the triangles with a paper trimmer, so go with scissors.

What kind of seeds can you use for DIY seed bomb wedding favors?

Any type of seeds will work in your DIY seed bomb wedding favors. We prefer using wildflower seeds because those grow pretty easily. Your guests can just toss this seed bomb wedding favor in a planter, water it, and it'll grow.

If you really like gardening, you can use something like string bean seeds, but that's a lot of post-wedding effort for your guests to get those to grow. Honestly, I would prefer that over flowers as a wedding favor, but that's because I already have a huge garden and seed propagating. For the sake of your guests, I suggest flower seeds.

How long will DIY seed bomb wedding favors keep?

Honestly, there's not really a shelf life on these. Well, there is and there isn't. If you buy seeds, you'll see an expiration date on them. It's usually about a year. But I was gifted seeds that were over a year past that expiration and they still sprouted.

So you can make these and store them (somewhere dry) for up to a year just fine, longer if the expiration date on your seeds says so.

You can make these when you have time, then store them until whenever your wedding date is. And if you have to push your wedding date back (yay 2020 brides, amirite?), these will keep just fine.

Can you purchase seed bomb wedding favors?

Weddings are stressful. There's so much to do and plan and make and think about. I get it. So maybe you just don't want to make your wedding favors. No worries.

You can purchase seed bomb wedding favors online. They're a little different than these, though. Instead of being large, clunky seed bombs, you can actually buy a thinner, plantable seed paper. Those take up a lot less space in your guests' pockets and purse, too, guaranteeing they're take them home.

And don't forget to purchase cute bags to put that seed paper in. If not, you risk it breaking in someone's purse or pocket and making a huge mess. Our favorites is this Let Love Grow Brown Packet Envelope

But you could go with any small envelope. If you bought a cute wedding brand stamp (like the one we used here), you could use that to stamp the outside of a plane envelope to make these personalized for your big day.

And, if you don't even want to bother with any assembly at all (and at this point, no one would blame you), you can just straight up buy cute seeds in an envelope like this Love Is All You Seed Envelope. Set one at each person's seat at the wedding, and you're done.

DIY Bridesmaids Cards (Plus a free printable for flat and folded cards)

Asking your friends to be your bridesmaids is getting out of hand. It used to be just a phone call and now it's super elaborate. Sort of like a promposal. When it was my prom, I called my then-boyfriend and invited him to my prom. That's it. It wasn't prom spelled out in tea lights, I didn't dress up like a zombie, and it had nothing to do with involving other people. Honestly, some promposals are a lot more thought out than some of the wedding proposals I've heard about.

Finding bridesmaids is getting to be that way too. I mean, I can't say I haven't bought into the culture of that. I did propose to my bridesmaids. But maybe you're looking for something in-between, something that's a little more than a phone call but less than a full out gift.

A card is the way to go. You could buy one at the store ... or you could make one yourself. But don't worry. You don't really have to put too much effort into these DIY bridesmaids cards. I've already designed them for you. All you have to do is print and cut if you make the folded cards and print, cut, and glue if you make the flat cards.

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

DIY Bridesmaids Cards

These cards are completely made by me and available free to you. I designed the cards myself (not using a template, so they're absolutely unique and exclusive DIY bridesmaids cards only found here). I picked the fonts and I even made up the bridesmaids poem. Yup, completely created off the top of my head. I haven't even used these (since my wedding is long over), so if you are the first to print, you'll be giving out bridesmaids cards that were never given out before. Pretty cool, huh?

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

What You'll Need:
  • Paper trimmer
  • Glue
  • Card stock (if you're making the flat cards)
  • Free bridesmaids cards printable (grab those at the end of the post)

What You'll Do:

Print the free bridesmaids cards printable. There's one for flat cards and another for folded cards. We'll go through the steps of the folded bridesmaids cards first.

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Align the edge of the card at the edge of the paper trimmer and print. Cut out the whole card (and that will cut off the link to A Bride On A Budget in the middle. Don't worry. It won't appear anywhere on your card).

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

The cards are designed to have a small bit of white around the magenta edge because I think it looks better than way. If you cut too wide an edge, no worries. You can just use a pair of scissors to trim the edge.

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Fold along the center line and you're done. The front and back of the cards both have the maroon rectangle design, making them look just like cards from a card store. The inside is blank so you can write a heartfelt not to your bridesmaid-to-be.

If you want a card but not a space to write a note, the flat bridesmaids cards are for you.

Just like the folded bridesmaid cards, cut these using the paper trimmer. After you do, they're a 4.5x3.125 rectangle. You need to know this for the next step.

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Cut the card stock to make a backing for the flat card. You'll want to make this 5x3.75 to give it a quarter inch border around it.

I used purple card stock because I love purple, but you can use whatever color you like best.

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Apply a light line of glue around the edge of the printable's backside. The thinner you can apply it, the better if you print these onto printer paper. If you print straight onto a white card stock, it's thicker so it can handle a thicker line of glue (and won't show it through the paper as easily as thin printer paper).

Use these cute -- and free -- bridesmaids cards to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. Get them at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Stick it onto the card stock.

I actually used the lines on the paper trimmer to measure it evenly.

If you wanted to jazz these up, you could use glitter or rhinestones. Maybe make a belt of rhinestones on the dress?

DIY Bridesmaids Cards Free Printables

The free printables for the flat and folded cards are labeled below. To save them to your computer, just right click the image and save it. Then, you can just print as normal on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper. On my laptop, the default option of "print picture to frame" is selected. I unchecked it for these printables because it looked like keeping it checked would cut off the edge of the cards.
