Free Tuxedo Or Suit Rental From Men's Wearhouse

Men's Wearhouse is the quintessential location for renting tuxedos for a wedding. With so many locations around the United States, it's so convenient for everyone. Plus, the groom can get a Free Tuxedo Or Suit Rental From Men's Wearhouse, which helps stretch your wedding budget.

For more ways to stretch that, check out all of our ways to save money.

You might be able to score a free tuxedo or suit rental from Men's Wearhouse. We did! Find out how at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Affiliate links are included in this post and A Bride On A Budget may make a small commission if you use them.

A woman picking out her wedding dress is a really long process. At least, for most women. I know there are some brides who bought the second dress they tried on, but the majority of women I've spoken to have tried on many dresses before finding the one.

For men, it's a little easier. You are pretty much restricted to a couple stores, one of which is Men's Wearhouse (the "brother store" if you will, of David's Bridal).

At the beginning of planning, I told Pete that no matter where he gets his suit, he needs the ties and pocket squares from Men's Wearhouse because my bridesmaids got their dresses at David's Bridal and so the colors will be identical.

And then, on the first mail day after that conversation, a coupon for a free tuxedo or suit rental from Men's Wearhouse came in the mail.

Free Tuxedo Or Suit Rental From Men's Wearhouse

Of course, the mailer from Men's Wearhouse was addressed to Pete, but he was sitting right by me when I was going through the mail, so I opened it.

Inside was a card to bring to Men's Wearhouse when you book your wedding party tuxedos. There was an offer for a free tuxedo rental for the groom and $40 off every tux rental for the wedding party.

That was in 2014.

The offer is still around, just a little different in 2024. I'm not sure if you need get a coupon in the mail, but you can just mention it when you go to Men's Wearhouse.

With six fully paid rental packages (a coat, pants, shirt, tie, and jewelry, which is cufflinks), the groom will receive a coupon for $250 towards a rental or purchase. When the six are paid for, it will generate the groom's coupon, which will be mailed 14 days before the event.

Originally, Pete didn't want to wear a tuxedo. He was set on a suit. But when we got this card, we noticed the photos of the men that accompanied the coupon card didn't look like they were in a tux.

"Maybe the tuxes look like suits?" I wondered.

And they do, actually. We we told that the only difference is a little silk on the lapel and silk buttons.

So if your man is on the fence, it's definitely worth a trip to the store. Pete actually went with a tuxedo, in case you were wondering.

When we booked in 2014, we had an offer for $40 off each rental package for your wedding party with coupon as well.

I don't see that offer now, in 2024, but there is a referral offer where your friends will get $20 off their rental, and, when they rent, you get $20 off. So that's the $40 total, just split up.

Honestly, I would do that. Any little bit of money that you can save really adds up.

If you're wondering, we did actually get Pete's tux rental for free with this offer. That was a great way to keep our wedding budget in check.

Wedding Deals And Savings (Updated for August 2021)

As I've mentioned before, I usually don't post deals on the blog. Yes, it's about saving money, but I try to keep deals on Twitter or Facebook because deals expire and posts on this blog last forever. But people were really happy with the wedding deals and savings I posted for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so I decided to put together this monthly post of wedding deals and savings.

It is updated every month with the current deals and coupon codes. The post is separated into three sections: Wedding Stationery Deals, Wedding Deals (for anything other than stationery), and Wedding Freebies.

No matter what you are up to in the planning process, this list is sure to help you out.

Get Bridal Guide Magazine For Free

As soon as I got engaged, one of my mom's best friends told me she had a few bridal magazines for me. And almost at the very same time, someone purchased me a gift subscription to Bridal Guide.

I didn't think I needed magazines. I had the Internet, and that was good enough. So I thought.

It's not.

Google is a great place to start, but magazines are so amazing and worth the cost. There is so much information, ideas on ways to save money, how to address invitations, check lists, and a ton of ads for wedding products.

Yes, we have these all on A Bride On A Budget. So you should definitely keep us bookmarked all through your wedding. But you should supplement us with a wedding magazine subscription ... especially if it's free.

Bridal Guide is amazing, but it's $5.99 an issue at the newsstand. That's way too much to pick up at the store every month. Right now, though, you can get a free Bridal Guide magazine subscription.

You can get a FREE subscription to Bridal Guide magazine! This is great if you are just starting to plan your wedding. Don't miss this offer! Get yours from www.abrideonabudget.com here. #wedding #weddingplanning #diybride #diywedding #weddingmagazine #bridalguide

You can easily get a free digital subscription of Bridal Guide magazine. Just click that link, enter your info, and your first issue should arrive soon.

I requested all the free wedding magazines I could find. They were all so helpful for me. I was able to flip through them when I had a few minutes and look at the dresses (bridal magazines are very ad heavy, but I never minded), read an article, and just feel like I was on the right track with my planning. That confirmation is worth it.

And brides, they really need a lot of confirmation.

Until you start planning your wedding, you don't even know what you have to plan. And you always feel like you're on the wrong track, no matter what you're doing. So having a magazine is just a big help as far as reassurance goes.

Update: You can get a free 8x10 at Walgreens now with the code EIGHT19. Use it to print out our DIY I Love You Because ... Free Printable. It'll make the perfect last minute Valentine's Day gift.

I love things that are cute. They just get me. Anything cute, sentimental, that sort of thing, is just perfect. It works as home decor and as a wedding gift (depending on what side of the wedding invitation you're on).

So when my friend suggested the idea of an I Love You Because dry erase frame, I had to jump at putting one together.

Bribing Yourself To Work Out (With free bottled water)

I was pretty lax about my wedding workout. I would go to the gym at our apartment complex every so often, but it was never on a regular basis. So I decided that my workout would be walking the park next to our apartment. It was easier to keep up with that, but it wasn't helping me shed the pounds I wanted to lose before we got married. So instead, I had to bribe myself. And maybe you're one of the people who think bribing yourself to work out isn't such a bad idea.

If you are, you're my people.

So bribe yourself to work out with free bottled water or other items to go in your wedding welcome bags. That's what I did.

Learn how to save on your wedding by using Walgreens' Balance Rewards program. Find out how on www.abrideonabudget.com.

Walgreens has a Balance Rewards program where you earn points for specific purchases. Plus, you  get 100 points every time you fill a prescription.

It's not much. I mean, 100 points is only equal to $.10, but it adds up if you fill a lot of scripts (which I don't, but still).

But, part of the Balance Rewards program is moving. Moving your body -- not your address. And that's huge.

Learn how to save on your wedding by using Walgreens' Balance Rewards program. Find out how on www.abrideonabudget.com.

You get 20 points for every mile you walk (up to 1,000 points) or run and 20 points every day you track your weight. Since you're probably weighing yourself like mad to make sure you can still fit in my dress, you might as well get 20 points for doing it daily. That's 2 cents a day. I know, I know, not much but better than nothing.

You also get 20 points per blood glucose test (with a maximum of two logs per day), 20 points per blood pressure test (with a maximum of one log per day), 20 points every time you log your sleep.

Of you have a Fitbit (or similar tracker) or an iPhone with the Health app, you can actually sync either to your account and you don't even  need to keep track yourself. One less thing to think about.

What I did was save up all our points and used them to buy bottled water for our hotel bags. My intention was to put one bottle in each welcome bag, but my mom said most people are coming as a couple, so it would be nice to put two in each bag. Which means we went from needing about 100 to about 200. And that was eight cases of 24 bottles. On sale, cases are $2.99, so we needed about $24 in Balance Rewards.

So I'm took matters into my own hands ... uh, feet.

And we actually did that. All our water was free.

The program is a little different now because you can only redeem 5,000 points per transaction. So, if you're planning on using a bunch of points, you'll need to break up your transactions. Keep that in mind.

I know myself. I know I needed to bribe myself to get to the gym, and the idea that my wedding dress might not fit wasn't enough of a bribe for me. But the fact that I could get points and see them add up and know that they would eventually be spent on items to help save on our wedding budget ... yup, that is the bribe that worked for me.

I actually still have my Fitbit synced and save the points, then treat us to things like toilet paper and laundry detergent. This is married life. Get ready.

BRIDAL BABBLE: Do you bribe yourself to workout or are you actually just awesome and go without trickery?

Request Free Wedding Samples From MagnetStreet Weddings

Wedding invitations are so expensive. When we were planning, I read that the average cost was $5 an invite. When you're spending that much money, you want to make sure that they are perfect and worth every penny. That's why ordering free wedding samples from MagnetStreet Weddings is so crucial.

Deciding on your wedding stationery? You can get free wedding samples from MagnetStreet Weddings. Head over to www.abrideonabudget.com to find out how.

MagnetStreet Weddings will allow you to request free wedding samples.

You have two options of sample packs to order. There's the Wedding Essentials Planning Kit, which includes various wedding stationery samples. Then, there's the custom samples where you can personalize any piece with your colors and text -- for free.

Deciding on your wedding stationery? You can get free wedding samples from MagnetStreet Weddings. Head over to www.abrideonabudget.com to find out how.
What I absolutely love is that you can also receive a set of swatch cards in your colors. You can create your palette and have it sent to you. I can't stress enough how important that is.

When you're planning, you choose your colors. And those are yours. Everything in your wedding will somehow come back to those colors. Your bridesmaids dresses, your flowers, the groom's tie, your favors ... your colors will be found in all of that. So you want to see your colors before you order invitations and find out that maybe the color isn't exactly what you were thinking. Because if that invitation color is off, you may have to revamp everything that follows.

The struggle is real, guys.

The only downfall of these free wedding samples, if you can call it that, is MagnetStreet has so many options. And you can only choose up to $20 worth of free wedding samples. So, if you're torn and can't decide, ask your mom or your maid of honor to request a couple for you.

Deciding on your wedding stationery? You can get free wedding samples from MagnetStreet Weddings. Head over to www.abrideonabudget.com to find out how.

You can personalize any piece of MagnetStreet's stationery -- save the dates, invitations, programs, reception items, and thank you cards. You're able to play around with the site's free wedding invitation templates, customize the cards exactly how you think you want them, and then, add the items to your cart.

At checkout, enter the code WED20SAMPLES to get up to $20 worth of fully personalized samples.

When they arrive, you'll be able to decide if you actually like them and how they look, or if you want to choose a different stationery package.

We actually used MagnetStreet for our wedding programs and our thank you cards. We were able to match our exact colors and styles since we ordered both from the same website. And that's a big help. If you're like me and you want everything to be coordinated, you want a site where you can get matching save the date and wedding invitations. Or, in our case, matching programs and thank you cards.

It just makes everything look so much more cohesive.

Why You Need Thank You Cards On Hand During Wedding Planning (and free thank you cards from Tiny Prints)

I love greeting cards. I'm one of those people who sends them for everything: birthdays, anniversaries, Wednesdays. Whatever excuse I can make to send a card, I will.

And don't even get me started on keeping cards. I have all our engagement cards, all my bridal shower cards, all our RSVP cards, and all our wedding cards. Right now, they're sitting in various bags and piles, but I'll figure out exactly how I want to collect and display them, and that's what I'll do.

I also have a stack of thank you cards ... for just in case. I always like to have them on hand. In fact, when we got engaged, my friend Nicole gave me a box of thank you cards that she had leftover from her wedding. And as soon as our party was over, I was able to start writing thank yous. It was just so convenient.

It's so important to have thank you cards on hand when you're wedding planning. Find out why (and how to get some free) right now at www.abrideonabudget.com.

Why You Need Thank You Cards On Hand During Wedding Planning

If you're engaged, I suggest you pick up some thank you cards now. That way, you'll have them in case a gift arrives at your doorstep.

I'm gonna be honest. My friend Mallory sent us a gag gift when we got engaged, and I can't remember if I sent her a thank you card. And that probably means I didn't send her one. Which is awful, bad form, and very much not like me. I blame being blinded by my new ring. I know I said thank you to her with a text or call or Facebook message or all three, plus a blog post, but seriously, a card is so much better. That's why you need them.

You can run to the store and pick up a box, order them on Amazon, or get ten free right now. Tiny Prints has an offer where you can get ten free holiday cards. Just enter the code 10FREECARDS at checkout by November 12. You'll have to pay shipping, but the cards themselves will be free. Now yes, these are specific to holiday cards, but I've gotten very good at many any holiday cards look generic and turned into thank you cards. Just be aware of the text on the cards.

And, if you're done with your planning, you could always pick these up for a friend who is engaged (or your next friend who gets engaged). It's a great gift -- one that I give to all my engaged friends!

DIY "Let Love Bloom" Seed Bomb Wedding Favors

I'm a big fan of word play and puns. I really believe that any time you can work it into your wedding, you should. Now, I'm not saying you need to overdo it, but once a wedding is great. If you haven't used any puns yet, I have a great one for you: Let Love Bloom ... attached to DIY seed bomb wedding favors.

How great of a wedding favor is that? Your guests' flowers will grow simultaneously with your love. I love it!

And you'll love how easy these are to make. You really just put in a few minutes of work, wait 24 hours, and you're ready to package them.

You can make them ahead of time instead of something like edible wedding favors, which you need to make during wedding week.

Looking for the perfect spring wedding favor? Make these DIY Let Love Bloom Seed Bomb Wedding Favors from www.abrideonabudget.com. Plus, you can get a free printable for the tags too.

DIY "Let Love Bloom" Seed Bomb Wedding Favors

DIY Let Love Bloom Seed Bomb Wedding Favors Supplies:

How To Make DIY Let Love Bloom Seed Bomb Wedding Favors:

Tear the newspaper into strips. You can use scissors to do this too, but tearing might be a therapeutic way to get rid of some wedding planning stress.

Soak the newspaper strips in a bowl of water for about 15 minutes.

Pulverize it in a food processor until it becomes mush.

Put the mush in a strainer and squeeze out as much water as possible.

Fill a mold halfway with the mush. You really want to pack it down well. The mold that made these is the Good Cook Sweet Creations Spring Mold.

It's silicone and usually used for chocolate bark. Actually, I used it to make coffee creamer molds before I gave it to my friend Danielle, who used it to make these seed bombs.

What's cute about that specific mold is it has a pattern that really indents itself into your seed bombs. If you'd rather, you can fill something like a heart-shaped silicone mold or, dare I say, a flower-shaped silicone mold?

Generously sprinkle wildflower seeds on top of the mush.

Finish filling the mold with the mush. Again, pack it in there. Set it out, in the molds, for 24 hours to dry.

After they've dried, pop your seed bombs out of the mold.

Place the seed bombs into an organza bag.

The number of seed bombs you place inside will be based on the actual size of your bombs. Place a "Let Love Bloom" tag in the bag, pull the ribbon to close it, and you're done.

Now, speaking of those tags: I made them so you don't have to. I'm all about making your life easier. All you have to do is right click the image below to save it to your desktop and then print it when you're ready.

It's formatted to fit an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, which is standard printer paper.

Now, if you've been around here for a while, you know that I pretty much cut everything with a paper trimmer. I bought it to do our wedding invitations and it has been the greatest investment I've ever made.

This is one of the very few projects I've made where I used the scissors, though. It's a little hard to maneuver around the triangles with a paper trimmer, so go with scissors.

What kind of seeds can you use for DIY seed bomb wedding favors?

Any type of seeds will work in your DIY seed bomb wedding favors. We prefer using wildflower seeds because those grow pretty easily. Your guests can just toss this seed bomb wedding favor in a planter, water it, and it'll grow.

If you really like gardening, you can use something like string bean seeds, but that's a lot of post-wedding effort for your guests to get those to grow. Honestly, I would prefer that over flowers as a wedding favor, but that's because I already have a huge garden and seed propagating. For the sake of your guests, I suggest flower seeds.

How long will DIY seed bomb wedding favors keep?

Honestly, there's not really a shelf life on these. Well, there is and there isn't. If you buy seeds, you'll see an expiration date on them. It's usually about a year. But I was gifted seeds that were over a year past that expiration and they still sprouted.

So you can make these and store them (somewhere dry) for up to a year just fine, longer if the expiration date on your seeds says so.

You can make these when you have time, then store them until whenever your wedding date is. And if you have to push your wedding date back (yay 2020 brides, amirite?), these will keep just fine.

Can you purchase seed bomb wedding favors?

Weddings are stressful. There's so much to do and plan and make and think about. I get it. So maybe you just don't want to make your wedding favors. No worries.

You can purchase seed bomb wedding favors online. They're a little different than these, though. Instead of being large, clunky seed bombs, you can actually buy a thinner, plantable seed paper. Those take up a lot less space in your guests' pockets and purse, too, guaranteeing they're take them home.

And don't forget to purchase cute bags to put that seed paper in. If not, you risk it breaking in someone's purse or pocket and making a huge mess. Our favorites is this Let Love Grow Brown Packet Envelope

But you could go with any small envelope. If you bought a cute wedding brand stamp (like the one we used here), you could use that to stamp the outside of a plane envelope to make these personalized for your big day.

And, if you don't even want to bother with any assembly at all (and at this point, no one would blame you), you can just straight up buy cute seeds in an envelope like this Love Is All You Seed Envelope. Set one at each person's seat at the wedding, and you're done.

DIY Bridesmaids Cards (Plus a free printable for flat and folded cards)

Asking your friends to be your bridesmaids is getting out of hand. It used to be just a phone call and now it's super elaborate. Sort of like a promposal. When it was my prom, I called my then-boyfriend and invited him to my prom. That's it. It wasn't prom spelled out in tea lights, I didn't dress up like a zombie, and it had nothing to do with involving other people. Honestly, some promposals are a lot more thought out than some of the wedding proposals I've heard about.

Finding bridesmaids is getting to be that way too. I mean, I can't say I haven't bought into the culture of that. I did propose to my bridesmaids. But maybe you're looking for something in-between, something that's a little more than a phone call but less than a full out gift.

A card is the way to go. You could buy one at the store ... or you could make one yourself. But don't worry. You don't really have to put too much effort into these DIY bridesmaids cards. I've already designed them for you. All you have to do is print and cut if you make the folded cards and print, cut, and glue if you make the flat cards.

DIY Bridesmaids Cards

These cards are completely made by me and available free to you. I designed the cards myself (not using a template, so they're absolutely unique and exclusive DIY bridesmaids cards only found here). I picked the fonts and I even made up the bridesmaids poem. Yup, completely created off the top of my head. I haven't even used these (since my wedding is long over), so if you are the first to print, you'll be giving out bridesmaids cards that were never given out before. Pretty cool, huh?

What You'll Need:
  • Paper trimmer
  • Glue
  • Card stock (if you're making the flat cards)
  • Free bridesmaids cards printable (grab those at the end of the post)

What You'll Do:

Print the free bridesmaids cards printable. There's one for flat cards and another for folded cards. We'll go through the steps of the folded bridesmaids cards first.

Align the edge of the card at the edge of the paper trimmer and print. Cut out the whole card (and that will cut off the link to A Bride On A Budget in the middle. Don't worry. It won't appear anywhere on your card).

The cards are designed to have a small bit of white around the magenta edge because I think it looks better than way. If you cut too wide an edge, no worries. You can just use a pair of scissors to trim the edge.

Fold along the center line and you're done. The front and back of the cards both have the maroon rectangle design, making them look just like cards from a card store. The inside is blank so you can write a heartfelt not to your bridesmaid-to-be.

If you want a card but not a space to write a note, the flat bridesmaids cards are for you.

Just like the folded bridesmaid cards, cut these using the paper trimmer. After you do, they're a 4.5x3.125 rectangle. You need to know this for the next step.

Cut the card stock to make a backing for the flat card. You'll want to make this 5x3.75 to give it a quarter inch border around it.

I used purple card stock because I love purple, but you can use whatever color you like best.

Apply a light line of glue around the edge of the printable's backside. The thinner you can apply it, the better if you print these onto printer paper. If you print straight onto a white card stock, it's thicker so it can handle a thicker line of glue (and won't show it through the paper as easily as thin printer paper).

Stick it onto the card stock.

I actually used the lines on the paper trimmer to measure it evenly.

If you wanted to jazz these up, you could use glitter or rhinestones. Maybe make a belt of rhinestones on the dress?

DIY Bridesmaids Cards Free Printables

The free printables for the flat and folded cards are labeled below. To save them to your computer, just right click the image and save it. Then, you can just print as normal on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper. On my laptop, the default option of "print picture to frame" is selected. I unchecked it for these printables because it looked like keeping it checked would cut off the edge of the cards.

Free Wedding Website From Wedding Paper Divas

When we got engaged, I started this blog. It was originally for me to collect my thoughts and ideas somewhere other than Pinterest and it blew up into what you see now.

People were asking if I was going to create a wedding website, but I mean, I had a wedding blog. I thought a wedding website might be a little excessive. Plus, if I'm being completely honest, because my blogs and my previous jobs put me in the public's eye, I was a little nervous about creating a wedding website with all my details available for anyone. I didn't want to worry about any wedding crashers.

But for non-public people, a wedding website is a great idea. Plus, you can make a free wedding website thanks to Wedding Paper Divas. It's completely free to anyone, regardless of it you have ever placed an order at Wedding Paper Divas or not.

What's great is you can design your free wedding website to match to your wedding invitations (as long as you also order from Wedding Paper Divas, anyway). I love love love when things are coordinated, and this is a perfect way to do it (and the perfect price too).

You can add as much or as little information as you want to your wedding website. You can add your engagement photos, your engagement story, your registry information, bios on your wedding party ... and of course, your wedding date and other important information. It's actually a good way to update your guests on things like hotel information too.

What I like about Wedding Paper Divas' wedding website is that you don't have to know anything about HTML or coding to make it. You can just click the design you want, add in your info, and you're done. Plus, it's really easy to change anything you need (like if a bridesmaid drops out and you want to remove her, your rehearsal dinner time changes, or you notice a typo). And with wedding planning, anything that's easy is definitely the path you want to take.
