With Memorial Day next weekend, summer seems to be officially starting. But the truth is, it's warm here all the time in North Carolina. The weather here is amazing, which means we can enjoy outdoor activities -- like fire pits and walks on the beach at night -- long into November.
So s'mores? Yup, we can have them at any time. Maybe you can't, though. Maybe you live somewhere where May is too cold to go outside and roast s'mores outside your wedding venue. No worries. You can make s'mores fudge for your wedding favor. It's so easy and delicious!
Homemade S'mores Fudge Wedding Favor
I love these as wedding favors because they're so easy to make. It's only a few minutes of prep, so it really is a wedding favor that you can make on your own. The fudge stores well in the fridge too, so you can make them ahead of time and just keep them cool until wedding day.
- 1 can (14oz.) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 graham cracker
What You'll Do:
Put the graham cracker in a plastic bag and break it into crumbs with your fingers.
Pour the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk into a microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for one minute.
Stir the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk until it's combined.
Drop in the marshmallows and stir gently until the marshmallows are coated. You don't want to be too rough and risk ripping or melting the marshmallows.
Pour the mixture into a foil-lined 8x8 inch pan.
Quickly, while the mixture is still warm, top with the graham cracker crumbs. Set it in the fridge for at least two hours.
Pull the foil out from the pan and place it on a cutting board. Use a large knife to cut it into squares. I did six rows by six rows, for a total of 36 pieces. You'll probably give two pieces per guest, so this recipe is enough for 18 guests ... unless you steal a few pieces for yourself while you're cutting them!
